Dr. Hatchett attended an advanced venous sonogram course in Palo Alto, California, sponsored by VNUS Medical Technologies March 8 and March 9, 2007.
Dr. Hatchett attended a training course for treatment of perforator veins in Frederick, Maryland, sponsored by VNUS Medical Technologies March 30 and March 31, 2007.
Dr. Hatchett attended the annual meeting of the American Society of Breast Surgeons in Phoenix, Arizona, April 30 through May 4, 2007.
Dr. Hatchett is a consultant for Ethicon Endo Surgery Breast Care, division of Johnson & Johnson. He presented two talks as a faculty member at a breast imaging conference in Oklahoma City June 29 and June 30, 2007. His talks were titled "Integrating Breast Care in a General Surgery Practice", and "New Technologies in Breast Care". He also participated as faculty instructor in the laboratory for Mammotome breast biopsy system.
Dr. Hatchett presented a lecture to the University of Oklahoma Rural Family Practice Residency Program, Jane Phillips Hospital, on July 31, 2007. The lecture was titles "Recent Trends in Breast Cancer".
Dr. Hatchett attended the American Society of Breast Surgeons Conference in New York April 2008.
Dr. Hatchett attended the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine Conference in August 2008.
Dr. Hatchett took board certification exam for Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Dr. Hatchett is one of 1,266 board certified worldwide.
Dr. Hatchett is now offering MammoSite, partial breast radiation balloon, for selected women with early breast cancer. This technology allows for focused radiation therapy to the lumpectomy site for breast conservation. This technology allows for delivery of radiation therapy to the surgical site twice daily for 5 days. MammoSite partial breast radiation is an alternative to traditional radiation therapy which normally requires treatments once daily for 6 weeks.
